Memorandum for Heads of Departments and Agencies: Implementation of Updated NEPA Regulations - Withdrawn

This memorandum for heads of departments and agencies provided information on Federal agency compliance with the CEQ’s 2024 NEPA regulations, including information about updating agency NEPA procedures and designation of a senior agency official for NEPA compliance and a Chief Public Engagement Officer. This guidance is on implementation of the final rule issued by CEQ in 2024 to update its NEPA implementing regulations. These regulations were rescinded effective April 11, 2025, and as such this guidance is no longer in effect and has been withdrawn
