Congressional White Paper on a National Policy for the Environment (October 1968)

On July 17, 1968, a number of Senators and Representatives held an informal joint colloquium on a “National Policy for the Environment.” Following the colloquium, the participants produced a Congressional White Paper on a National Policy for the Environment, which articulated the need for a national policy on the environment.
